So if in the future, it does it again, 9/10 its likely to be the server down rather then a problem with IAL itself! ^_^ So if in doubt, just message me on MSN or email me like a few people did last night! ^_^ :)

I think Katie was giggiling and having the hysterics at Nigel pictures, I was browsing Shannis on Youtube saying what I didnt/did like about the scene and was getting :rolleyes: at those on invisionfree :lol:

I felt quite important getting a note from invisionfree about the error :yay: I was like: Oooo whats going on here then :yay: What time did it come back online?

I went to bed, so I dont know. I had to check this morning if we was back online or not! :rolleyes:

It came back on about 1.30am i think, i was waiting up :laughoutloud: OMG it was a disaster without me, me and Lottie were practically tearing our hair out waiting, sooo sad :yay:

Did that happen again last night?? I thought it was my connection I was nearly ripping the whole thing out <_< . I was trying to get on to logout and when it eventually came up it said I already was, so I tried logging in and it crashed again and said I was logged in :huh:

Yeah it played up again last night :knod: If in doubt, go onto invisionfree.com and at the top of the page, there is a link saying'Server Status', and if Server 13 has a big red X next to it, then it means the server is down! :knod:
Yet again, i gave up last night and went to bed!

Was the server upto no good again last night because I tried logging on and it took ages again and then it kept saying "cannot find server" :huh:

As you can most likely see, we've got Red X's everywhere on IAL! :rolleyes: Which means the user who has made this skin, has removed a link, hence why we're getting loads of X's!
So it's likely we may have to pick out another skin all together :rolleyes: I'm hoping you can bare with us! :lol:

Just to let you all know we're going to be turning IAL for a little while so please don't panic if you cannot get on the board. We're just going to try and get this skin buisness sorted. :thumb:

Katie and I have picked this skin out for a temporarily basis whilst we find a more permanent skin for IAL! ^_^ Any ideas welcome :thumb:
But like I said in my previous post, bare with us, and we know IAL isnt looking its best, but its better then the big red X's! :P

A little update. Well big one!

Invisionfree are updating their servers ( Hence why we've been offline for 4 hours) and during this time, the common Red X's are appearing on many boards/forums, and not just here, so we are going to change back to our original Skin, but for now, this Skin is being kept until the Red X problem is near solved! ( At least this Skin doesnt have it on the main forum, only in the posting box with the smilies! ) And we do realise that some of you may not be experiencing these annoying Red X's ... so this doesnt really appeal to you all ( Your lucky! )

But we'll keep you informed anyhow!

Me and Katie all day have been searching for a new skin for IAL, then I log onto Invisionfree and check out a thread, and the admin on there said this is likely to happen when servers are being upgraded! * enters rolling eyes smilie here * ....

I hope its fixed soon!

it does look diffrent mostly gray and there are no smilies in the smilies box just red crosses

Right for those of you who are still experiencing the 'Red X' issue there is a solution, I'm not sure it'll work for everyone. Invisionfree are still working on this error but some members have suggested this:

If you're using Internet Explorer go to Tools/Internet Options then click on General tab, click on "Delete files" beside "Temporary Internet Files.

In Firefox go to Tools/Clear Private Data; check "Cache" (uncheck other options) and then "Clear Private Data Now".

This will clear your Cache which will reload the images once you have refreshed the page. :thumb: It's worked for me so it might do for you too.

If it does work could you please let us know, so me and Laura will know what to do with our original skin. :wub:

May I just point out that I have grown to love this skin! Lalala and I think we could really Tish it up! Haha x

Okay people, Myself and Katie have been discussing possibly to now use this Skin on IAL, and to inject some colour into our Icons, Pips and reply buttons. If anyone has a major problem with this Skin, then let us know! ^_^
We just think this looks more fresher and tidier then the Salmon Pink! :lol: But that could be just us! :P

Is this the same as the Sharon and Dennis site bit without the pink bits :huh: I'm finding it hard to get used to..but it's just because my eyes refuse to work properly sometimes :lol:

If I'm being honest, I preferred the old one! :knod: But this one is nice too, it just takes a little adjusting to as it's so bright! :lol:

Alot of the Invisionfree skins are on Skinzone, and me and Katie searched ... through I cant even count how many skins yesterday to try and find one half decent to use whilst the other was full of the Red X's. And out of the hundreds they have, we probably picked ... 5 between us! :lol: :lol: And this seemed the plainest yet classic out of all of them! :lol:

We're all for changing back to the Salmon Pink one, if the majority want to! :knod: I personally have grown to like this over the day we've used it! :lol: Either way, we was going to Tish the board up abit, because its lacking slightly! :P

I don't mind it at all :nono: But it is a bit bright for my eyes to adjust to atm..I keep squinting a little to read text :lol:

Last time we changed the skin, we had problems with all the colouring and fonts! :lol: So we do know its a long process of changing the place.
But if y'all want to go back to Salmon, then we can! ^_^

As Invisionfree are still trying to sort out this 'Red X' issue we'll revert back to the old skin once this problem has been resolved. ^_^ We're not going to do it until then because although clearing the cache for most users has solved the problem it's not a permanent fix. Some browsers such as AOL does let you clear the cache but the red x's are still displayed. So it's just a waiting game till things are back to normal. :thumb:

I'v changed the title of this topic, simply because 'IAL's Skin Problem' made it sound like we had some sort of disease! :yay:

It seems the problem with the server has now been resolved, so myself and Katie shall be updating IAL, and reverting back to the previous skin some time today!
So if you see a few images change/disappear, you know in advance, we're changing them! :lol:
When we change the Skin back, we will turn the board offline just whilst we do so! ^_^
